SOS Children's Villages revolve around the effort to give children who have lost their parents or who are no longer able to live with them a permanent home and a stable environment. Is small still beautiful? We think it is. In an increasingly divided and fragile world, Practical Action aims to demonstrate and advocate the sustainable use of technology to reduce poverty in developing countries. Merlin exists to provide an immediate and effective response to medical emergencies throughout the world. Our work is based upon the humanitarian principle that all people, regardless of race, religion or political affiliation, are entitled to lifesaving care and medical assistance. Given the unpredictable nature of Merlin's needs EVERESTMAX is not supporting a specific project, however they will be cycling through a Bam in Iran which was hit by a great earthquake on 26th December 2003. Merlin played a huge part in the relief effort and the team look forward to seeing first hand the support that Merlin have offered to these communities in great need.
