The Doughty Hanson & Co Charitable Foundation is the first official 'Bike Sponsor'. The Foundation's donation will buy kit for the cyclists who shall visit charity projects along the route of their cycle. The Doughty Hanson charitable Foundation is well into its fifth year. In this time the Foundation has supported a broad range of good causes including fighting poverty, disability and homelessness and promoting healthcare and education in all sections of society from children to the elderly.

The Foundation generally supports individuals or smaller organisations and prefers to identify specific projects where they can see how their contribution has been applied. A number of good causes supported by the Foundation this year were identified and sponsored by Doughty Hanson & Co employees through their local connections.

In 2004, the Foundation committed approximately £49,200 to various causes.
