Honda has provided the team with an EU20i generator. The generator has a maximum power output of 2000 watts which will be more than enough to power the laptops, cooking equipment and chargers. The generator combines portability, low noise, clean and efficient power, with the benefit of greater power output.

The key feature of the generator is its inverter technology. Power is passed through a special microprocessor which “smooths” the power output so computers and other sensitive electrical equipment can be run safely from it. Given the volume of ICT kit EVERESTMAX will be using the inverter technology will be very useful indeed.

Honda appreciate the importance of being able to maintain all of our equipment along the route. To ensure that we are never without power they are providing training for Dickie, one of the expedition support team, on the generator.
