GeographyArea – 3,287,263km2 WeatherIndia is massive and there are different types of weather in different parts of the country. In general India has three seasons like Pakistan; summer (March – June), winter (October – February) and the wet season (July – October).
Southern India often floods during wet (monsoon) season. In the mountains in northern Indai it is very cold during the winter. The graphs show the weather in Delhi.
People
Indian has the second largest population in the world. China has the biggest. There are lots of different types of people in India; different customs, different religions and different languages. It makes it a really interesting place. Local Traditions
It is rude to eat or shake someones hand with your left hand. People only use their left hand for dirty things like taking off dirty shoes or wiping their bottom. In India it is rude to show the soles of your feet to people or to touch them with your feet. India is so diverse it is best to watch the locals to see how you are expected to treat people. LanguageHindi is the national language of India but 70% of Indian people speak a different language. There are 18 official languages in India! People in the government and in business speak English. People read and write Hindi from right to left !uoy teem ot ecin ,gninrom dooG Good morning, nice to meet you! which is opposite to how we write English. Hindi looks very different to English.
Food
Indians eat a lot of rice, the average Indian eats 2kg of it each week! The 'bread–and–butter' meal in India is dhal roti, stewed pulses and bread. There are 60 different pulses including lentils, dried beans and peas, and loads of different breads, for example chipati, puris, naan. There is always food being cooked on the streets in India.
