Sir Ranulph Fiennes

"I am delighted to be Patron of the Everestmax Expedition and to be able to support the team in their endeavours. Their attempt, to be the first to journey from the lowest point on the Earth's surface to the highest, will be an immense physical and logistical challenge. The scale of effort required to climb Everest itself is enormous. In addition to this they will have to cycle over 7000km on their approach to the mountain. It will be an incredible overland journey and one that has never been completed.

I send the team my best wishes for the success of their expedition and would urge you to add your support. Like many others, I shall be keenly following their progress and shall look forward to their safe and successful return."

Sir Ranulph Fiennes Signature

We are delighted that Sir Ranulph Fiennes OBE has agreed to be patron of the EVERESTMAX expediton. His support will be a valuable boost to our efforts. Sir Ranulph is considered by many to be the world's greatest living explorer. As leader of the Transglobe expedition in the 1980's his overland experience is unrivalled.

We all followed Sir Ranulph's expedition to Everest last April, wishing him well for the ascent and a safe return. Though Sir Ranulph made the decision to turn back on the summit day he reached a staggering altitude of 8,400m and 7 of the 11 team members made the summit. We hope that EVERESTMAX will be as successful.
