Recently opened in the balcony level of the Beachwood Arcade, Cheltenham, Western Computers have very generously loaned the EVERESTMAX expedition two new iBook G4 12-inch computers. The staff at Western Computer felt that these would be most suitable for the expedition and most adept to coping with difficult conditions. They have, however, warned that the computers will be unhappy above 10, 000ft and don't like getting really cold so they should stay in base camp!!

Upon the return of the EVERESTMAX team to the UK, the two iBooks shall be presented to a school by Western Computer and EVERESTMAX where they will have to withstand different, though just as rigorous, conditions.
