Whyte Bikes are a key supporter of EVERESTMAX. They are providing hybrid bikes for the cycling team and all the spares needed to maintain the bikes over the journey from the Dead Sea to Everest Base Camp, a ride of approximately 8000km (5000miles).

Dave showing Sarah and Nic the bike

On the 9th of December Whyte bikes delivered 8 specially designed bikes, based on a Marin frame, to the EVERESTMAX Team in Cheltenham. They are of a light hybrid design but supplied with generous suspension to be up to the rigours of the Tibetan plateau. Dave Hemming, a hugely experienced cyclist, gave the team some essential advice and tips on how to care for and manage the bikes.

Dave Hemming and the bike

The whole team are immensely grateful to Dave and all at Whyte bikes for their incredibly generous support for our venture. To visit the Whyte Bikes website and find out more about their bikes click here.
